The words ‘always’ and ‘forever’ are always interchanged as they both have similar meanings. However, in some contexts, this is not possible since there are still some subtle differences that in some cases will matter.
Always is used if the event exists at all times and persists for a long period of time. An adverb, it also means without exception and is used in something that occurs continually. For instance, in the sentence: “You are always late,” it can be surmised that the person is repeatedly late. (more…)
